I had my birthday last week and it was brought to my attention how quick the time does fly. Each birthday is a passing of another year, another year when I hoped I would accomplish many things, some I did, and of course some I did not.
But, lets not dwell on what we should have, but on what we will do!
I will try and find at least ten minutes a day to think only of myself; ten minutes is not a lot to ask out of my schedule and so much can be accomplished.
I could use the ten minutes for meditation, ten minutes to work on my triceps, ten minutes to take a brisk walk, the list is endless.
I wish everyone a Happy Birthday and wish you a more useful ten minutes a day.

Food for thought.
An interesting thought to share with you;
I believe in order to have a great body, we should control the amount of food we consume.
We can all indulge in all food choices, some we know are not the best, and some are absolutely sinful. But, we can eat all foods as long as we try to control the amount.
Making the right food choices is entirely up to you. Nobody forces us to eat anything.
Choosing begins at the supermarket, try and shop around the outside aisles only, fresh vegetables and fruits are a good staple, combined with fish or meat; this route avoids the 'snack' aisle.
Combining this with exercise is the step forward.

Swimming
Have you thought about taking a refreshing dip in the ocean as a form as exercise?
Here in Sarasota the water is mostly calm with a great breeze, an ideal way to combine swimming with exercise. The calm water and the added beauty of your surroundings would make this ideal. Just keep in mind of your surroundings and have fun, maybe go with a few friends and see how you can swim, using the shore as a guide.

Walking away those pounds.
An idea for today is to walk, maybe along the beach, maybe around the walking paths at your local mall, or maybe at your local garden.
The beaches here in Sarasota are wonderful; the most flatest could be the beach on Siesta Key, voted one of America's top ten beaches.

Tricep move.
Here is another way to work your triceps, no equipment to use, just your own body weight.
Turn on some fun music and try this.

Sit on the edge of your bed or sofa, bend your knees with your feet flat on the floor, place each hand by your side, fingers facing forward; your arms are straight. Now bend your arms and slowly lower your body down to the floor; remember to bend your elbows and angle them straight back. Take a breath, as you breathe out straighten your arms, and bring your body back to sitting position: This is one.
Repeat; remember take your time, do a few today, adding more each time.

How many times have we blamed somebody else, instead of looking to ourselves to solve our problems; just like the guy who after a terrible round of golf, tied his Putter to the back of his car and dragged it all the way back home to teach it a lesson!

Use Dance As Exercise.
Last night I took a West Coast Swing dance class; who would believe having so much fun can be exercise too!
Maybe this is something you may like to consider, maybe you are doing this already and not considered this as exercise. Whatever the case, we had fun and had exercise.
